If you were lucky enough to join one of our guided Oyster Walks on a previous Harbour Day, you'll know that one of our aims is to help small groups discover the maritime history of Whitstable’s harbour and shore line.
There's no need to wait for the next Harbour Day, as we now have a downloadable guide with links to further online resources to help you explore Whitstable's maritime heritage for yourself...
The historic Gamecock
The Gamecock is just one of three vessels that we now support. It was granted Heritage status in 2015 and has a dedicated crew of volunteers that will not only sail her, but maintain and preserve her for future generations. Find out why we are so passionate about the Gamecock and our other craft.
2018 was yet another very busy year and it was lovely to meet some of you at our social events, with the Christmas social ending the year fantastically.
Catch up on all our latest events and news, including Harbour Day, Oyster Trails, social events and find out what is happening with the Gamecock right now.
Whether you love to sail or love the rich maritime history of the Whitstable area, becoming a friend lets you find out more.
There are many benefits to becoming a friend and your support allows us to keep our historical vessels afloat and continue to develop Maritime Heritage within Whistable. Becoming a friend is a fantastic way to join in.
